Scarlet Read-Along Starts November 1st!

Are you ready for the Scarlet Read-Along? Jessica and I are, and we're really excited!

Since the read-along starts in just a few days, Jess and I thought we should fill you on how this is going to work. We have a lot of fun stuff planned to make November an amazing month of Scarlet-y goodness. We'll be posting the full reading schedule on November 1st, but all you need to worry about this week is reading chapter one. Simple, right? Just read the first chapter on day one, and we'll discuss it the next day.

As for the rest of the fun stuff we have planned, here's a calendar - feel free to save it, print it, mark it on your own calendar, set alarms on your cell phone, whatever works for you.

Many readers know the tale of Robin Hood, but they will be swept away by this new version full of action, secrets, and romance.

Posing as one of Robin Hood’s thieves to avoid the wrath of the evil Thief Taker Lord Gisbourne, Scarlet has kept her identity secret from all of Nottinghamshire. Only the Hood and his band know the truth: the agile thief posing as a whip of a boy is actually a fearless young woman with a secret past. Helping the people of Nottingham outwit the corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham could cost Scarlet her life as Gisbourne closes in.

It’s only her fierce loyalty to Robin—whose quick smiles and sharp temper have the rare power to unsettle her—that keeps Scarlet going and makes this fight worth dying for.

A few other things:
-AC Gaughen has very generously donated bookmarks for this event, so some lucky participants will be receiving bookmarks...and she's also recently donated something else, but we're keeping that under wraps for now! There have to be some surprises in life, right? ;-)
-If you stumble upon this during November, feel free to sign up. If you can get caught up and join in, it's never too late to participate.
-If at any time you need a quick reminder of the schedule, everything to do with the read-along will be updated on this page (the Scarlet Read-Along tab at the top of my blog - Jessica has one on her blog, too).
-If you're on Twitter (Jessica and I are - @SweetMarie83 and @Jess_Sankiewicz), we'll be using the hashtag #Scarlet for all read-along related tweets - you can too!

  2. All signed up and ready to go. This weather is wrecking havoc on my fingers and wrists, but I have Scarlet on my kindle, and should be able to mix typing and video for the posts. (plus, the hands are gradually feeling better.) Looks like we're going to have some fun. :)
